Not much...but a very big step!

I dont have any pictures for today, but I have great news!!! This morning I went with Lindsay & Adam to the hospital to feed and hold Marissa. After I got home I got a phone call from Lindsay. They had gone back up to the hospital again and...surprise surprise! Marissa got to go home today! The doctors say all is well and she was ready to go home! Now mom and dad can be in peace at their own house with baby instead of the hospital! Congrats mom and dad! Good luck with your wonderful journey you have ahead of you! And to everyone else... as soon as I get more pictures or more information I will be sure to let you all know! Oh also, I almost forgot! Marissa got her first pictures today so as soon as Lindsay gets them to me I will have them up on here!

Have No Fear, Marissa Is Here!

Finally, the moment everyone has been waiting for! Marissa finally made her appearance! (And also I am updating the blog) Sorry it has taken me a couple days, but now I'm back in gear! So here goes the story... Last Thursday the 12th, Lindsay picked me up and we were headed to the doctor for her ultrasound. When we got there everything seemed to be good, until the doctor said that Marissa had a low birth weight and we would have to wait for the doctor to come in. Of course, like any good mother, Lindsay was in tears. And what we thought was going to be an hour long doctor visit, turned in to a weekend at St.Marys. The doctor decided that since Marissa had a low birth weight, they wanted to admit Lindsay to the hospital and induce labor. We were told that the placenta may have stopped working which would have caused Marissa to not be getting all the nutrients that she needed... so there was only one thing to do... GET THAT BABY OUT! And that's exactly what they did. They gave Lindsay some medicine that would dilate her and also make the contractions come more often so that it would speed up the process. But come to find out, Marissa didn't like contractions or labor. So the doctors decided that we weren't going to play her game and we were going to get her out! So that night Lindsay had a C-section. On Friday March 13th, at 10:05 pm, Marissa was born in to the world! She weighed 3 lbs. 15 oz. and was 19 inches long. Finally, the beautiful baby girl that we have been waiting for! She had a low birth weight but doctors are feeding her and taking care of her to get her weight up. But other then that she is perfect! Just as we all knew she would be! So now comes the fun part for Lindsay and Adam.... raising baby! Oh what a joy (and mad house) this will be ha! But all in all, baby is good and mom and dad are doing good! So I know everyone has been waiting for pictures and I'm back in the game to update! So here are the pictures of the beautiful, healthy baby girl. Our bundle of joy, Marissa Christine Head. Still waiting for baby! Hopefully it's anyday now that she gets here! It's kind of hard to update a blog about her when she is not even here! But in the mean time, Lindsay took some pictures of the baby room that she and I decorated. So here are some pictures of Marissa's room... (when she decides to get here ha!)
